School just got out but we're already planning for the fall! The Cheshire Community Food Pantry is organizing our 2nd annual Back to School Drive, a program designed to ensure that all school age pantry clients return to the Fall 2014 semester fully outfitted with appropriate back-to-school shoes, clothing, underwear & socks, school supplies and an option for winter clothing.
We are looking for individuals, neighborhoods, companies, civic and religious organizations to "adopt" one of our children and outfit them for school. We are also looking for monetary donations to purchase school supplies.
Last year was an overwhelming success! With the support of the Cheshire community we were able to outfit over 50 students AND make sure that they all had gift cards to buy their mandated school supplies. This is a fun project to work on with friends and children. Together we have the ability to take care of our best assets, the children of Cheshire!!

Welcome to the Cheshire Community Food Pantry
The Cheshire Community Food Pantry, Inc. provides food subsidies for individuals and families in need. On average, CCFP serves 118 Cheshire families each month. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life of our clients and the welfare of our community.
Looking for something to do this summer with your children? Consider having a mini food drive in your own neighborhood. ADOPT-A-BLOCK! It's really easy - you decide what type of food drive you would like to have: Paper Products, Kids Snacks, Personal Care Items, Condiments or General Merchanidise, etc. Decide on a pick up date and send us your contact info. We will design a flier for you to drop off with your neighbors. Then all you have to do is pick up the food bag from your neighbors and deliver the donation to The Cheshire Community Food Pantry. If you want to really go BIG, we can always send our van to pick up the donations. Afterwards, we may even be able to give your family a tour of the pantry to show them where the food goes and tell them a little bit about who we serve.

Consider a Monetary Donation
The pantry uses monetary donations to purchase nutritious meat, poultry, dairy and produce at less than wholesale costs. We also supplement our non-perishable inventory with personal care items and cleaning products.
